Physics Electrostatic chapter 1 [electric charges and field] {part 2}

*Force between Multiple charges: Supersonic Principle

-"In a system of n charge the electric field on any one charge is the vector sum of force due to all remaining charges on this charge."
-The force which two charges exerted each other is not changed by presence of other charge.
*Concept of Electric Field
The space surrounding an electric charge _q_ in which another charge qo electrostatic force of attraction or repulsion, is called the electric field of charge q.
#+q average charge of electric field in the space around itself.
#-q it does not create any field.
*Electric field intensity due to a point -charge.
The electric intensity due to a point charge is directly proportional to the magnitude of charge q and inversely proportional to the square of distance. If there is a medium of dielectric constant (er) between the source charge and the field charge,intensity at a point.

*Electric line of force.

electric field are 'Imaginary' lines in a reason of space along which are free positive charge would move if allowed to do so
1. They originate from positive charge and terminate at - ve charged.
2. They do not form closed loop.
3. They do not terminate in space (∞).
4. The number of field line are subjective but density of electric line is objective.
5. The number of electric field line from to a charge is directly proportional.
